Jo is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with a depth of expertise in leadership development and executive coaching. With a passion for learning, she supports experienced business leaders to develop in emotional intelligence as a key enabler of success for individuals, teams and businesses. In her consultancy work, Jo focuses on the leadership requirements of business change - working with executive teams, managers and HR departments to support the implementation of new business strategies.
As a coach and facilitator, Jo quickly develops trust. It is important, she feels, to support people to understand and manage themselves so they can then lead their business and its people. She is known for being a challenging and insightful coach and has long term relationships with client organisations. Jo’s interventions are informed by leading edge thinking in the fields of leadership and management, employee engagement, organisational development and change – all areas where Jo has personally conducted research, published papers and reports and is a regular platform speaker. Whilst always working with executives to support them to find their own way forward, this breadth and depth of knowledge adds a real edge to her credibility with any senior audience.
In a recent business school role, Jo led the set-up of an Asia Pacific operation opening an office in Singapore. With this experience and over 19 years working with cross cultural managers, Jo enjoys coaching people with international responsibilities.
Jo is a regular keynote speaker and conference chair, has judged The Personnel Today Employee Engagement Award for 3 years running and is a member of the “Guru Group” advising the government-sponsored Employee Engagement Taskforce, Engage for Success.
