Amanda is a business psychologist with expertise in talent management and coaching gained over 18 years. Her entry into the world of learning and development was with KPMG and she has since ran the recruitment and training department of Markel International insurance company and the graduate and intern functions for Hiscox Insurance. As a consultant she has worked in the communications, engineering, healthcare, FMCG and manufacturing sectors including organisations such as BT, Spire healthcare and Costain.
As a coach: Amanda has 3 years’ experience and having worked in complex organisations as an employee and an enabler, and understanding the challenges this poses, she adopts a pragmatic and practical approach that is underpinned by robust psychological models including transactional analysis and adult development. She engages with her coachees with genuine curiosity, kindness and support. She creates a space where individuals can safely explore and challenge their assumptions and existing views of their world; enabling them to shift obstacles and let go of things that may hold them back whilst creating a path towards their goals and aspirations. Through developing greater self-awareness, coaches can expand their ability to interact with others at work and realise their potential.
